Dried Flowers
The perfect alternative to artificial flowers and no water required! Dried and preserved flowers need very little care and can last years in the right conditions.
Dried flowers are a wonderful sustainable floral option. They have been taken from their fresh state to one of dehydration in order to rid them of their natural moisture. This is traditionally achieved by air drying in the right temperature and is a natural process, dulling, shrinking and wrinkling the appearance of the foliage and petals giving them a natural, earthy-toned look.
In order to preserve flowers the blooms typically undergo a process whereby a special gel (glycerine solution) mixture is used to replace their sap.
As a result of this process, preserved flowers retain their natural appearance and touch. They are much softer and more flexible in comparison to dried flowers. Bleached and preserved flowers can come in many amazing colours.
Both dried and preserved flowers are fairly delicate, but with gentle handling and avoiding direct sunlight and humidity, they can last for years.
